This pelvis and sacrum is cast from a 8,000 year old archaic specimen of a five year old child. The sizing is comparable to a modern day one year old child. The Epiphyses bones are still in three parts (Pubis, Ischium and Ilium) and the junctions are quite clear at the acetabulum. The sacrum is still in five distinct segments and S1 is still in three pieces. The neural arches of the sacral nerve canal are open as the arch has not completely formed and fused in the middle. A rare and beautiful specimen showing early development and formation. Available either articulated (in one piece) or disarticulated (in three or seven pieces). If you are working with or teaching about how to work with children, this pelvis is extremely helpful.
